Bachelor of Social Work

Field work placement provides students with first-hand on-site learning which is entirely indispensable for a professional training. We currently have the most extensive coverage of overseas countries and the largest number of students undertaking international placements among local social work training institutes. Our students have left footprints all over the world, including Australia, Canada, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and Mainland China.

Students’ participation in a wide array of fieldwork settings provides them plenty of opportunities for value bombardment, creative problem-solving and adaptive adjustments. All are conducive to their personal and professional development. Our field placement is certainly responsive to the emerging needs: our students were placed in the earthquake zone of Sichuan to carry out site research and practice in the summer of 2009.

Life is a journey, Put a spark in it. You will be surprised by what you can gain in 10 weeks!

This is a memorable life experience for me. I did not only practice my knowledge and skills, but also developed my passion to work with my clients. After living independently in a foreign country for 3 months, I have learned to be strong and brave!
