Research method in social work and social administration I

This course provides students with the basic background in quantitative and qualitative research design and data analysis. The logic of interpretation of findings and scientific explanation, the merits and limitations of quantitative and qualitative approaches to the study of social phenomena, and research ethics will also be examined. Pre-requisite: SOWK2084. Theoretical foundations in social policy and planning or SOWK2122. Community building and the civil society.
