Dr. TANG P.S. Jessica

Senior Lecturer

Dr. Jessica Tang is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) specialized in family and mental health services. She accomplished her MSW and PhD from The University of Hong Kong. In 2018, Jessica completed the One-Year Mindfulness Teacher Training Program grounded in the teaching of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh at Plum Village Mindfulness Academy. She is a Certified Facilitator of Compassionate Mind Training and a Certified Advanced Level Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator. Her expertise lies in mental health recovery, strength-based counselling, narrative therapy and systemic family intervention. Her research interests include compassion in higher education, mental health recovery, service user involvement, peer support services, collaborative and participatory research. She was a recipient of the HKU Faculty of Social Sciences Outstanding E-learning Awards 2019-2020.
