Dr. LAI Ka Wai, Veronica

Veronica Ka Wai Lai, Post-doctoral Fellow of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at the University of Hong Kong. Veronica received BSocSc in Psychology from City University of Hong Kong and PhD in Anesthesia and Intensive Care from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining HKU, she was a lecturer at School of Arts and Social Sciences at the Open University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus on psychoeducation and mental wellness in healthcare settings. These interests are developed in areas of quality of care assessments and program evaluation for practical use of preoperative interventions in addition to routine patient care. She is interested in clinical psychology, health psychology, intervention sciences, psychometrics and their intersections.
