Forum on “ICYSC Social Worker's Roles 2.0: SEN children and families”
Dear social workers,
We are a group of Year 3 social work students (BSW) from The University of Hong Kong. Since the implementation of Inclusive Education, social workers of Integrated Children and Youth Services Centres (ICYSCs) have been playing different roles in serving children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families. However, there are different opinions on ICYSC social worker's professional roles. In view of the current Service Review of ICYSC, we would like to create a platform through a forum to collect voices of various stakeholders.
Thus, we would like to cordially invite you to join the forum, with the following details:
Date: 7th April, 2017 (Friday)
Time: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Venue: MWT5, Meng Wah Complex, The University of Hong Kong
Target: Current social workers serving children with SEN at ICYSCs and social workers interested in this topic
Language: This Foum will be conducted in Cantonese
Attached please find the forum poster. If you are interested in joining the event, please apply through replying this email or filling in the form The deadline is 31st March 2017, and we will reply you with a confirmation email at a later stage.
Your participation is of paramount importance. It will bring new ideas to the social work profession and thus we can provide better services for SEN children and families.
Should you have any inquiries, please contact us by email or Ms. Tayle Chan (62001870) or Ms. Joean Lau (51350112). We look forward to your reply.
Thank you.
