This course aims to enhance the students’ personal wellness and sensitivity, as well as enhance their competence in cultivating well-being using integrative approaches. This course is designed based upon the principles of experiential learning. The course consists of a 3-day personal growth workshop, short didactic lectures, and student-led presentations. The holistic well-being workshop provides students with the direct experience of integrating the knowledge of holistic wellness into a real-life setting while offering them the chance to reflect and develop competence in adopting integrative approaches in their personal and professional lives. The didactic seminars introduce to the students the theoretical framework and philosophical underpinnings of designing a holistic well-being programme. Students are expected to show a deeper understanding and competence in developing their holistic healthcare practice models by integrating what they have learned in all preceding modules with their direct experience in this course.
