Dr. Muhammad Hafiz holds a PhD degree specializing in adolescent’s mental health help-seeking behavior from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Hafiz is also a registered Clinical Member with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), and a Certified Behavioural and Career Consultant. Prior to coming to Hong Kong, he was a counsellor for more than 10 years in Singapore in school counselling and in a children’s non-profit organization. Hafiz’s area of specialties includes youth and adolescent, school counselling and social emotional support for youths with learning needs. His research interests are on adolescent mental health and help-seeking behaviours, mental health promotion, counselling issues related to ethnic minorities and using technology to enhance mental health-help-seeking and learning. He is also passionate about education and is particularly interested in technology-based enhancement of teaching and learning.
